Bioidentical hormonal modulation

Hormonal Modulation allows individuals, who show signs and/or ageing symptoms to reach optimal hormonal levels, compatible with beginning of adult life.

The supplementation is done through bioidentical hormones and nutrients such as amino acids, vitamins, and antioxidants, among others. Hormone replacement, on the other hand, aims to reach values considered “normal” (standard) of chronological age.

Hormonal Modulation therapy is suitable for all patients who wish to improve their quality of life and delay ageing, or simply maintain vitality and well-being for as long as possible. This process must be associated with a proper diet and regular exercise.

The hormonal profile is drawn through laboratory tests. After knowing the results obtained, the appropriate therapy for a recovery of hormonal balance is defined to achieve an optimal hormonal pattern.

The best hormonal pattern is like full youth, more specifically near 25 years. The ageing process occurs because of hormones number available in the body gradually decreases over 30 years old, sensitively, and becoming noticeable from 40 years old.

The hormones used in bioidentical hormonal modulation are like the existing ones in the human body, not only in structure but also in function, and are therefore: safer, more effective, and easier to optimize.

It was from the Genome Project, initiated in 1990, that deciphered the human genetic code (DNA), which made possible the bioidentical hormones use. These are hormones the same as those produced by our glands, such as oestradiol, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA.

  • Oestradiol: Segregated by ovaries, its production is drastically reduced during menopause. It protects against pathologies such as Alzheimer’s disease;;
  •  Progesterone: Segregated by ovaries, its production in menopause is reduced to minimum levels, and is related to menstrual cycle and pregnancy. Protects against diseases such as breast and uterine cancer, ovarian cysts and post-partum depressive disorder;
  • DHEA: Segregated by adrenal glands, a precursor of other sex hormones. It reduces cardiovascular risk, decreases cholesterol and body fat, stimulates the immune system and helps the feeling of well-being;
  • Testosterone: It is usually associated with men, but is also found in the female body, and it is produced in adrenal glands, testicles, and ovaries. Some of the benefits are: increased muscle mass, reduced body fat, increased bone density, improved sexual, relational and social health, and combating depression.
